Physician Heal thyself by doing what Jesus did

“Physician, heal thyself” invites Christians to look inward and receive the healing already offered through Christ. In Christian faith, healing is not only physical but deeply spiritual, rooted in the sacrifice of Jesus—“by His stripes we are healed” and by His blood we are redeemed. Believers understand these words to mean that Christ’s suffering, death, and resurrection restore broken humanity, mending wounds of sin, guilt, and separation from God. Through prayer, repentance, faith, and participation in the life of Christ, Christians apply this healing personally, allowing His grace to transform their hearts and minds. Healing, then, becomes an ongoing act of trust: surrendering pain, weakness, and failure to Jesus, and living daily in the power of His blood, which cleanses, renews, and makes whole from the inside out.
